Scientific Council Babylon 2009
The yearly meeting of the Scientific Council of Babylon took place on June 8, 2009. The Scientific Council is composed of:

The Utrecht Institute of Linguistics OTS (UiL OTS) at Utrecht University, hosts the 7th International Symposium on Bilingualism (ISB7) from July, 8 - 11, 2009.

| Wasif Shadid appointed as member of the Advisory Committee on Migration Affairs
Wasif Shadid is appointed as member of the Advisory Committee on Migration Affairs. The Advisory Committee on Migration Affairs (Adviescommissie voor Vreemdelingenzaken - ACVZ) is an independent Committee that advises the Dutch Government and Parliament on immigration law and policy. The members of the ACVZ are appointed by the Government for a period of 4 years.

Rubicon grant for Seza Dogruoz
Seza Dogruoz has received a Rubicon grant from NWO. She will stay at the University of California at Santa Barbara for 1 year.
